Will It Blend? - iPhone

Everybody knows that the iPhone can make phone calls, play movies & music, surf the web, and a lot more. But, Will It Blend? That is the question.

iPhone 101: Clearing cookies from Mobile Safari

Filed call of: iPod Family, iPhone, iPhone 101

This morning, I Farked my way over to this story about British Tea Cakes. The tea cakes, which part of to be nothing more than British mallomars, father been re-categorized from biscuits to loaf. Far be it from me to dispute the accumulated sapience of the EU high courts, but from this American vantage significance if it looks like a cookie and tastes like a cookie, it is possible that the tea cake actually is a cookie -- and not a bar. I consulted TUAW's in-residence Britishness wizard Nik, who threw up his hands and asked (justifiably) whether this was in truth related to Apple or its products.

Being in a cookie-minded system, I decided to respond to a reader who asked close by issues on the iPhone in visiting mobile versions of sites that were less than kindly upon revisits. Some expressive sites hide "log out and log in as another drug" details in their mobile formats. (I would import the finger at FireEagle/Yahoo--but lately they've cleaned up those problems kind of nicely.)

If this situation happens to you and you remarkably need to access a site as if it were your start visit, let me recommend clearing your cookies. And yes, I can consent you groaning: "You want us to do...what?". Unfortunately, with Ambulant Safari, cookie clearing is an all or nothing proposition. You can't lawful clear cookies associated with a solitary select site. It's a clean sweep or nothing at all.

To do this, get Settings > Safari. Scroll down and choose Clear Cookies. The iPhone throws up a pop-up confirmation. Tap Lambently Cookies and quit from Settings. Your puzzler sites should now act as if it's your first attack.

And, as for that whole tea cake clobber? If you serve cookies for supper, are they tea cakes to a certain extent than biscuits? British people perceive free to expound in the comments.
